Life is truly wonderful!
There are so many things that happen in our life every second, every minute and every day that we don’t expect that it would be happen to us and that was the time we realize that it could be happening to us. Life itself has a deep and broad meaning and most of us have its different definition of what is life?
Trials, problem and failures are some of the recipes in life without this, life will be boring and it will not be wonderful. This will balance the happiness that we experience.
Dictating his own story in life in the commencement address to a college graduation in a finest university in the world, Steve Jobs is truly a man who is full of courage and determination. In his address he started there that he never experience to graduate from a college so, it is his honored to give the commencement address to them.
In the first story of his life, it is all about on his college years.
Even though that Steve Jobs, did not finish his college years but he never regret his decision he made to his self and prove that it would not put into trash. It’s really amaze me that he decided to dropped out most of his subject because he can’t take it to his conscience and imagine that his poster parents work hard and the money they saved most of their entire lives will be used and lost for his studies in his college. Why it is amaze me because many of us student don’t see the real worth of valuing a thing especially in terms in school. We just not even realize the sweat that drops from the body of our parents and their hard work for them to give us money and pay all of our expenses in our school. I have learned in this situation that we must value everything what has come to our life.
As, Steve Jobs find the true essence of his purpose on the decision he made, that was the he and his friend Steve Wozniak coincide their idea and they made the Macintosh Computer. Although that he dropped out most of his subject but there is one subject that made him interest so he decided not to dropped out that subject. Calligraphy is the subject that helps him to make the Macintosh Computer. It really means that his decision was not put into trash because he has done something that can truly be proud of. Knowing that Steve Jobs is a well-known technopreneur today and who made the first computer we are using nowadays was not a college graduate.
Steve Jobs give an encouraging words to his address that we can get a lesson. First, we must find our true love not literally a person but in work because if you already know what was your love you can easily do what you want. Second, it was a game on a connecting a dots that was already given to us by our instructor at that time, I don’t get the right answer. The game was all about looking forward or thinks beyond by that you can easily connect the dots; it can be compared to our future if we will just trust in something. And to our instructor he said that we must to think beyond the dots in just only four stroke if we don’t try to get outside of the corner of the dots, which means we can’t be successful in life if we just focus on the four corner of our life and if we wouldn’t encounter a failure in our own lives because these will be a test for us on how we will handle it and on how we will make it.
On the second story that was all about on his love and loss.
At his early age, he already found out what he really loves to do. So that time Jobs and Wozniak started the Apple in his parent’s garage. It is truly amazing and interesting, that at their early age they established a business on their own which is very known company up to this year. Imagine for just only 10 years their business have grown so fast. It seems that Steve Jobs was very industrious man. In this part of his story, I already know the real story of his life. The Apple Company that he founded was submerged not all because of his attitude but the real reason was the people he fully trusts to. And it is the reason why he got fired to his own company which he founded. I guess they use it as a weakness of Steve Jobs for them to fire out him to the company. Being an entrepreneur, Steve Jobs didn’t lose hope at all because he was so in love of what he is doing. For me, for having an attitude like that there is no room for disappointment and failure. So have I learned that you must be eager of what you want and don’t easily lose hope when it times of trouble happen in your life. By that, he starts a new beginning in business and started the NeXT and the Pixar Company and met an amazing woman whom he fall in love and became his wife.
Everything happened for a reason, this is the lesson that I have learned in his second story. If Steve Jobs did got not fired out to his own company which is the Apple he would not also realize the reason and the true value of trust and failure. He was also right that in a great relationship it will be better as the years may pass by. And the lesson for this is to value time.
On his third story, it’s all about death.
In this part of his life I can say that it is the turning point of his life because this was the time he discovered that he has a pancreas cancer which incurable but he didn’t discourage his self by his disease. He still believes that he will be cure later on. And by that, the doctor was really amaze and happy of what is happen to him.
So believe even if it is impossible because there is nothing wrong to believe. In the last part of his address he leave a saying “Stay Hungry! Stay Foolish!” which means to me that we should not stop of what we would like to achieve in our life. There’s a lot of opportunity that may come to your life if you will not stop believing.
